The Global Strategic Dialogue was established in 2012 in the context of the upgrading of bilateral relations to the level of Global Strategic Partnership.
The mechanism provides for annual meetings between Foreign Ministers, in the two capitals, to address issues on the Sino-Brazilian agenda, in their bilateral and multilateral aspects.
This first session of the Global Strategic Dialogue will also contribute to the preparation of the State Visit of President Xi Jinping to Brasilia and the 6th BRICS Summit, in Fortaleza.
