China hosts fourth CELAC-China Forum on Poverty Reduction and Development

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China (MARA) will host the fourth CELAC-China Forum on Poverty Reduction and Development from July 3 to 5, 2024. China and member states of CELAC will exchange information and experiences on poverty reduction and development.

Sub-Secretary Benjamin Blanco of ALADI participated in the opening ceremony on July 3rd. On the same day, the forum will hold sessions on “Promoting Regional Poverty Alleviation through Employment and Entrepreneurship” and “Sustainable Agriculture for Accelerating Poverty Reduction in Latin America and the Caribbean.”

On July 4th and 5th, the participants will visit local communities in China.
