The Council's Tourism Board specifically described the Medical Tourism industry, which is the strength of Mexicali.

S.

, which in 2010 has contributed income of U.

S.

$ 16 million with the number of patients reaching 155 thousand people.

The vast potential of Mexicali Medical Tourism has made local government encourage cooperation with foreign investors to establish the Medical District.

With the diversity of industries in Mexicali, business opportunities in this region are fairly big.

This coupled with the implementation of North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), a treaty signed by Canada, Mexico, and the United States to form a trilateral trade bloc in North America.

This condition provides a lucrative opportunity for Indonesian businessmen to do business with their counterparts in Mexicali.
