The dialogue to establish economic relations between Mercosur and Japan

The negotiations to sign a free trade agreement between Mercosur and Japan started this April. According to Rubén Ramérez Lezcano, president of Paraguay and the president pro tempore of Mercosur, for Mercosur, this FTA is a strategy to open up to the Asian markets and expand its export of agricultural products to Asia.
