China-Mexico Entrepreneurs Conference is held in Mexico City by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the COMCE on June 5. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto attend the conference and make keynote speeches. CCPIT Chairman Wan Jifei, President of the COMCE and entrepreneurs attend the conference.

Xi Jinping notes that China and Mexico have just agreed to upgrade their bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership, which creates a more favorable condition and opens up a vaster space for the development of their trade and economic cooperation.

The Chinese president urges both sides to always see each other as partner and important opportunity for development, and to strengthen China-Mexico economic and trade cooperation from a strategic perspective.

He says the two sides should work in the spirit of mutual respect and mutual benefit to optimize their trade structure, resolve their differences through amicable negotiations and seek trade balance in an active manner.

Enrique Pena Nieto said China is an important partner for Mexico and the two countries can change competition to mutual beneficial cooperation through joint efforts.

He adds Mexico is willing to create favorable conditions to attract more Chinese investment.

He thanks China for accepting the Mexican requirement to hold Ninth China-LAC Business Summit in 2015 and speaks highly of the CCPIT and the COMCE for China-Mexico economic relations and business exchanges.

As a long-term mechanism for dialogue and cooperation among entrepreneurs on both sides, the conference was established in 1980s.

It has been held 22 times since then and it is often held during high-level visits.
