Together, the four companies – LIC NZ Brasil, ISL Animal Health, PGW Sementes and QCONZ, will be demonstrating to Brazilian breeders and producers the most modern and proven practices in the fields of genetics, animal health, grazing and milk quality, respectively.
New Zealand will have its own space located in the International Pavilion and representatives of the four companies will be available to meet the public.
Due to its efficiency, high productivity and innovation, New Zealand has shown itself to be one of the world’s most important countries in the field of agribusiness research and development.
During Expointer 2013, the companies present on the New Zealand stand will be able to share a little of their proven experience with the visitors, showing that the employment of their techniques on farms in Brazil and other countries can increase the performance of agricultural systems, making them both more productive and efficient.
Dating back to 1901, Expointer takes place annually in the town of Esteio, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and is an important event for the exchange of agricultural technology, providing an opportunity for the commercialization of machines, tools and technical developments in the area.
Aware of the needs of an important niche in this market – rural cattle breeders - New Zealand is backing innovation in agricultural technology as one of the leading contributions to the Brazilian market.
LIC NZ Brasil (Livestock Improvement Corporation) is a cooperative focused on high levels of production for the dairy industry, conducting cutting-edge research into bovine genetics.

Assisted by ISL, farmers all over the world manage to maintain the health and productivity of their herds using resistant applicators which guarantee the easy administration of the exact dosage without any waste.
A world leader in the area of seeds, PGW Sementes (a subsidiary of the PGG Wrightson Seeds group) will be showing visitors to Expointer its range of products and services based upon advanced scientific research.
Its seeds are capable of ensuring high rates of return on crop investment in farms, providing healthy and rich foodstuffs for animals.
QCONZ (Quality Consultants of New Zealand), meanwhile, works with quality control and inspection, with a focus on milk production, providing support for sustainable dairy business management.
Its research is specific to the needs of the agricultural industry, offering indispensible tools and services for the sector’s businesses.
For example, QCONZ evaluates means of improving the quality of milk and has achieved effective results on farms in Brazil as well as in various other parts of the world.
“In bringing the example of productivity, efficiency and technological innovation from New Zealand to Brazilian breeders, we somehow also hope to contribute to the business and advances in this area that is so promising for Brazil, a country that has all the right conditions to become a key partner for companies from New Zealand,” explained New Zealand’s Ambassador to Brazil, Jeffrey McAlister.
“By enabling an exchange of experiences between New Zealand companies and the Brazilian public, NZTE is uniting two markets that are recognized for their agricultural prominence,” said Xymena Wasilewska, Acting Trade Commissioner for NZTE in Brazil.
At New Zealand’s trade fair stand, visitors can meet and contact representatives of some of the New Zealand’s leading companies that are active in Brazil
