XIX Ronda de Negociaciones del TPP

The largest annual exhibition in Paraguay, the 32nd International Fair of Livestock, Industry, Agriculture, Commerce and Services (Expo 2013), was held from July 6 to July 21, 2013 in Mariano Roque Alonso, Paraguay.

There were 19 Taiwanese enterprises participating in this fair, of which 10 came from Taiwan and the others are Taiwanese investors in Paraguay.

The products these companies exhibited included machinery, tyres, green houses, notebook and tablet computers, seeding machines, building materials, health care goods, cosmetics and so on.

A welcome party was held at the Taiwan pavilion on July 12, and many Paraguayan VIPs attended, including Paraguayan President Federico Franco, Minister of Industry and Commerce Diego Zavala, and others.

All the visitors were impressed by the high quality of Taiwanese products.

During the EXPO, the Taiwanese enterprises conducted business matching meetings with more than 500 companies.

Most of them were from Paraguay while others were from Argentina and Brazil.

The organizer estimated that there were approximately 1 million visitors during this fair.

Compared to 2012, the number of visitors increased 100% this year and attained the same level as 2011.

The organizer emphasized that all the entrepreneurs were satisfied with the results of this interesting, colourful and successful fair.
